Franco Bucci Italian Midcentury Art Pottery Bowl for Laboratorio Pesaro
About the Item
A stylish Modernist midcentury Italian art pottery bowl designed by Franco Bucci for Labortorio Pesaro. The rounded handcrafted stoneware bowl stands on a narrow round unglazed foot and is if wide shallow shape with a wide flat rimmed edge. The body has a ribbed design and is applied with green glazes over a matted chestnut ground with the glossy and darker glazes applied to the inside bowl changing to lighter matt glazes around the edge. The bowl has both manufacturer and artist marks to the base. A stunning piece of Italian design and a wonderful display piece to grace any interior.
Provenance: Acquired in the UK Art Market.
In good condition with light wear associated with age and use.
