Danish Art Pottery Bowl by Herman August Kahler, 20th Century

About the Item
A stylish vintage Danish art pottery shallow bowl with stylised slip floral designs by Herman August Kähler (1846-1917). The rounded bowl stands on a narrow rounded foot with black over green glazes to the base and with black, green, white and brown thick slip applied glazes trailed to the inside of the bowl with stylised floral designs around the inside edge. The bowl has an incised HAK monogram to the base along with an original Kähler paper label.
Herman August Kähler is an important Danish ceramic designed who ran the Kähler ceramic factory (Kählers Keramiske Værksted) in Næstved, Denmark.
