About the Item

The" Embassy "Hand Blown Wine Glass by" Libby Glass Company" was designed by Walter Dorwin Teague with Edwin W Fuerst 1930s. The Libby Glass Co hired Fuerst to design a line of glassware named "Modern American" Teague collaborated with Fuerst on this "Embassy" pattern, a classic Art Deco Design with fluted rectangular stems. "Embassy" was chosen by Teague for use in the State Dining Room of the US Government Building in 1939 New York Worlds Fair. Rare and no longer produced, highly collectable.
