Italian Vintage Majolica Sugar Bowl in the shape of a Pepper by Italica ARS

About the Item

I offer for sale an extremely decorative and fun element to set your table. Made in Italy between the 70s and 80s, this jar with lid is part of a successful series that included many tableware items in the shape of fruit and vegetables. This series, which recalls the Portuguese production of Bordallo Pinheiro ceramics, was produced by the "Italica ARS", a company founded in the 1920s in the province of Florence and no longer active today. This jar with lid equipped with a teaspoon and saucer is all made of handcrafted majolica and can be used as a sugar bowl, as a gravy boat or as a jam holder. The bright yellow and green glazes and its pepper shape make it irresistible. The container measures 8.5cm in height by 10cm in depth. The total measurements of the item including cap and saucer are: Height 14cm Diameter 19cm The item is in good vintage condition, with no breaks or scratches.
