Portuguese Majolica Palissy charger plate in the manner of French potter Bernard Palissy with a detailed naturalistic design in high relief featuring a snake, lizards, tortoise, frog, and butterfly displayed on a textured mossy green base. Made in Caldas da Rainha in Portugal and dating to 1905. Mark to base “Caldas da Rainha 1905”.
