English Staffordshire Blue and White Plates

About the Item

A charming pair of early 19th century blue and white Staffordshire plates dating to circa 1825. Known as the man with the cow pattern each plate features a pastoral scene rendered in rich cobalt tones with a decorative floral border. These transferware pieces capture the essence of English rural life and are emblematic of the period’s taste in tableware. One plate shows a hairline crack while the other remains in very good condition. A classic and collectible duo for lovers of early English ceramics.
