About the Item
A stunning large waisted crystal early cameo vase by the Saint Louis Crystal works of France, made in vibrant dark blue cut to clear -with a frosted look background, The image depicts a mixture of heraldic images (around the centre) and a botanical scene with gilded blossoming Chrysanthemum and a cute butterfly. It has a many sided cut to clear star base.
Saint Louis was and still is one of the three great Crystal glassworks the others being Val Saint Lambert and Baccarat.
