STS Abel Art Deco 1930's Blue Glass Bird Centrepiece Bowl
About the Item
Description
A large and heavy (1.3kg unpacked) art deco blue glass bowl with bird design. Made by STS Abel of former Yugoslavia. Has the firms logo of a wine glass inside a star embossed on the base. STS Abel was formed in 1921 with the merge of four different factories, these were Hrastnik, Rogatec, Rogaska Slatina, and Daruvar. STS stands for "Sjedinjene Tvornice Stakla", which translates to "United Glass Factories". The company ceased to exist after the second world war.

Measures approx 5.5 inches tall by 9.25 inches in diameter at widest point.
