Art Deco period sapphire blue cut glass vase, circa 1930

About the Item

This remarkable vase dates to circa 1930. It has a circular facetted foot and above a heavy solid glass base with ten scalloped sides around its circumference. The conical shaped vase rises elegantly straight up to the rim and is decorated with an amazing foliate wild scrolling pattern which has been finely cut with great precision. The key element to this beautiful vase is its most unusual colour and tone which can only be described as a breath-taking sapphire. In good condition, circa 1930. Height 29cm x width 12cm x depth 12cm
