About the Item

Elegant 19th-century silver coffee pot of Italian manufacture, dated with good probability to the first half of the 20th century. The work is punched with the title "800" and a second mark, in the form of a shield, which is difficult to identify. Made in the neoclassical style, it has a slender, symmetrical shape: the ovoid body rests on a circular foot decorated with pods, while the lid is surmounted by a small pinecone element. The handle, made of ebonized wood, is elegantly curved and well insulated. The spout, molded in the shape of a bird's head and meticulously chiseled, is impressive. The dimensions are: height 17 cm, width 19 cm (from handle to spout), depth 9 cm. Total weight: 230 g. The state of preservation is good overall, but there is a noticeable deformation in the lower part of the body, caused by an impact, which slightly bent the base. The silver retains a beautiful patina consistent with its age.
