About the Item

A large Mid-Century Milk Glass pedestal cake stand, from the Indiana Glass Company, circa 1960s. The Indiana Glass Company was an American company that manufactured pressed, blown and hand-molded glassware and tableware for almost 100 years. Predecessors to the company began operations in Dunkirk, Indiana, in 1896 This piece was offered by Pitman-Dreitzer & Company, a distributer of the Colony Brand glassware, which was manufactured by Indiana Glass Company in the early 1960s. A large and heavy stand with a looped upper rim, in pure white, opaque milk glass. The top is fused to a lovely paneled and tapered stand. 14 inches in diameter x 5 inches High. In very good vintage condition, light wear to the top surface.
