This is the rare blue Cuckoo Cockatrice Minton oval platter. It is in very good condition without chips or cracks or any other blemishes. This platter is from the 1800s. There is an area on the surface that is cloudy or off color. No surface or other imperfections to this unique platter. The pattern is sort of whimsical and features gorgeous floral designs and a single cuckoo located on the face of the plate at the upper right section. This platter is both durable and stylish. It Measures 15 inches in length, ant it is perfect for a display cabinet or hutch. The glaze finish and handmade production technique are still distinctive. It still offers utility as a serving platter for entrees or appetizers.
