19th Century Anneau d'or Old Paris / Vieux Paris Dinner Service "45pieces"

About the Item

This Anneau d’or Vieux Paris set, originating from the 19th century, embodies the elegance and craftsmanship characteristic of that era. The octagonal plates and serving dishes, with their fine gold edging, evoke a sense of understated luxury, typical of Vieux Paris porcelain. The large soup tureen, adorned with gold handles and a delicate finial, serves as a stunning focal point, while the matching platters and bowls further complement the set’s cohesive design. The shell-shaped serving pieces add a whimsical touch, balancing the formal aesthetic with subtle charm. As a product of the 19th century, this porcelain set reflects the refinement and attention to detail highly prized by the Parisian elite during that time. Its timeless design ensures that it remains both functional and decorative, a classic example of Parisian artistry in porcelain. - 1 large tureen with presentoir - hairline on the body of the tureen - 3 covered dishes - 1 round fruit bowl - hairline and chipped - 2 "squared" fruit bowls - 2 "shell" shaped dishes - 9 platters - one with hairline - 12 original dinner plates (2 with minimum chips) - 1 original soup plate - 14 dinner plates from "Darte" Palais Royal 21 - Charles X - circa 1830 - that the past owner bought to "complete" the set. Louis Joseph and Jean Francois Darte joined forces under the name of DARTE FRERES and in 1804 bought the Hôtel de Montalembert, rue de la Roquette, then took over the store in the Palais Royal de Tribunat. The high quality production has given this factory a good reputation. Business went well and in 1816 they rented a second store. They obtained the silver medal at the exhibitions of 1806 and 1819. The two brothers separated around 1823.
