19th Century German Painted Porcelain Platter in Repoussé Pewter Frame

About the Item

Decorate a man's office with this large, hand painted porcelain plate; crafted in Germany, circa 1880 and round in shape, the painted ceramic platter depicts the portrait of a man dressed in ornate period clothing. The antique wall plate is set in a round pewter frame that is embellished with alternating medallions and repoussé foliate decoration with beaded borders. The decorative platter is in excellent condition with a rich patinated finish, and shows beautiful painted details. Measure: Diameter 17.5".
