About the Item

A fine antique 19th century English porcelain shaped dish. Decorated throughout with a colorfully painted blue cornflower and gilt accents. The rim features intertwining painted flowers and gilt garlands. Simply a wonderful piece of English porcelain! Date: 19th century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Condition Details: There is some rubbing to the gilding throughout and some losses to the gilding (particularly to the rim), fine and light crazing throughout, and a spot of minor staining to the face of the dish. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Marks: Marked with a red Derby maker's mark and the number 15, and with a label that reads: "CB9 / Derby / circa 1785". Measurements: Width: ca. 10 in. Depth: ca. 8 1/8 in. Height: ca. 1 3/8 in.
