Chinese Export Porcelain Deep Dish with "JA" Cypher, American Market, Circa 1785 The Chinese Export porcelain dish is of an unusual shaped oval deep small basin. The rim has a green enamel band with a central gilt husk band within. In the center is an oval panel with the initials "JA" in gold and red. The oval is bordered with scrolls and leaves and surmounted with two lovebirds facing each other and holding a twig of berries and a leaf in their beaks. Surrounding the center is a circular band of red husks and four famille rose European flowers and leaves. Dimensions: 6 1/2 inches wide x 6 1/4 inches deep x 1 1/2 inches high (Ref: VM98652-New13)
