About

Rare and eccentric Chinese export porcelain teapot with a white 'hybrid' strawberry or raspberry finial. Red sprig decoration and bands, twisted vine handle, and bamboo spout; small blue flower buds on each side. Likely made for the European market.
White strawberries (called pineberries) and white raspberries exist today; the latter more frequently grown and harvested.
