Hand-decorated with polychrome floral motifs. Marked. 19th century. Fifth factory quality. In excellent condition with minor signs of wear, wear on the edge. Dimensions: D 17.0 cm. The Meissen porcelain manufactory, founded in 1710 in Germany, was the first European factory to successfully produce true hard-paste porcelain. Established under the patronage of Elector Augustus the Strong, Meissen quickly gained a reputation for its high quality and artistic craftsmanship. It became famous for its intricate figurines, elegant tableware, and iconic patterns such as the Blue Onion ("Zwiebelmuster"). Meissen has had a profound influence on European porcelain tradition and remains active to this day.
