Plate, in Chinese Porcelain Famille Rose, Qing Dysnaty

About the Item

Plate, in Chinese porcelain, famille rose, for export. Qing Dynasty, Qianlong period (1736-1795). Polychrome decoration. The central part of the plate features a lush floral arrangement, with peonies and other colorful flowers surrounding a small brownish-gold vase, from which thin, elegant branches emerge. Peonies, known as the "queen of flowers" in Chinese culture, symbolize prosperity, beauty and honor. The use of gold enamel on the vase adds a touch of sophistication and shine to the composition. The rim of the plate is richly ornamented with an intricate pattern of arabesques and flowers, combining vibrant colors such as pink, blue, green and yellow. The wavy design and intricate detailing demonstrate the high level of artistic and technical skill involved in creating this piece. The use of overlapping, translucent glazes creates a soft, three-dimensional visual effect, typical of the Famille Rose technique. The "Rose Family" is known for its use of a colloidal gold-based enamel pigment, which enables a wide range of pink tones and allows for the creation of more detailed and realistic scenes and motifs. This technique was developed in China in the early 18th century and quickly became popular both domestically and for export to Europe. In addition to its utilitarian function, this plate has a strong decorative appeal and can be displayed in collections of antique porcelain or used to enrich the decoration of classic and elegant environments. Broken and glued.
