Porcelain Plate from China for Export, Qianlong Period
About the Item
Chinese porcelain plate for export. Qing Dynasty, Qianlong period (1736-1795). Polychrome decoration, with an elegant floral pattern in vibrant shades of pink, orange and green. In the center, there is an exuberant composition with begonias, bamboo and other foliage, referring to the Chinese symbolism of longevity and prosperity.
The edge of the plate is richly decorated with floral garlands interspersed with small birds and fruits, painted with great delicacy. The gold details, although partially worn by time, give a refined touch to the piece.
This plate represents traditional Chinese porcelain produced for export during the 18th century, especially destined for the European market. This is a decorative and collectible piece, with artistic features typical of the period, enhanced by the meticulous painting and balance.
Bumps, missing enamel and paint, repainted.
