About the Item

Chinese porcelain plate for export. Polychrome decoration with flowers featuring a refined and ornate design, possibly of European origin, inspired by 18th century manufactures, such as French Sèvres porcelain or German Meissen porcelain. It displays vibrant colors, in shades of blue, pink, green and reddish-orange, with floral and arabesque elements that reflect the influence of the Rococo style, characteristic of that era. In the center of the plate, there is a delicate floral arrangement, composed of small blue, pink and red flowers, accompanied by green foliage. The composition conveys lightness and sophistication, reminiscent of the fine porcelain that was used in aristocratic tableware during the 18th century. The central motif is surrounded by a thin double circular outline, which helps to highlight the decoration without overloading the design. The rim of the plate is richly ornamented with a pattern of blue arabesques, interspersed with small floral branches and decorative elements in shades of pink and green. Sections of red mesh add texture and contrast to the piece, creating a sophisticated visual effect. This type of ornamental pattern was quite common in porcelain of French and German influence, especially in pieces intended for the European elite. The use of vivid colors and the precision of the details indicate that the painting was applied by hand by skilled artisans, following traditional enameling techniques. The symmetry of the design and the fluidity of the lines highlight the high level of skill of the artists responsible for this piece. During the 17th and 18th centuries, porcelain like this was highly valued and was often commissioned by nobles and aristocrats, being used at banquets and special occasions. The delicacy reflects not only the refined taste of the time, but also the influence of cultural exchange between Europe and Asia, where the porcelain trade played a fundamental role in the dissemination of decorative styles and techniques. Hair, cooking defects and worn enamel.
