Portuguese Earthenware Plate, Blue and white Decoration

About the Item

Earthenware plate. Blue and white decoration, with river landscape, bridges, house and plant motifs. In the center of the plate, a scene with pagodas and houses stands out, surrounded by rolling mountains and stylized vegetation. The central representation, with its elegant lines and curved roofs, transports the observer to an exotic and serene atmosphere. Below the pagoda, an arched bridge. The rim of the plate is richly decorated with floral motifs and geometric patterns, reinforcing the oriental style of the piece. The use of curved lines and arabesques creates a frame that directs the eye to the center of the plate, while enriching the overall design with a sense of dynamism and fluidity. The pattern is composed of stylized flowers, foliage and abstract shapes, which are repeated harmoniously along the border. Small imperfections and nuances in the application of color reveal the artisanal touch, further enhancing the dish as a unique work of art. Lots of chips, hair and paint and enamel flaws.
