Heading : Sunderland Lustre Creamware Mug Decorated For The Grand Union Oddfellows Arms Date : 1813-1819 Period : Regency Marks : Printed “Dixon & Co Sunderland Pottery” beneath the shield. This was was only used for the six year period speified Origin : Sunderland, England Colour : Polychrome Condition : Very good. Some minor fritting atounf the foot string and a little wear to the lustre on the rim Restoration : None Dimensions : handle to rim diameter 12.5cm, height 12.3cm Weight : 285g There are multiple inns called the Odd Fellows Arms but it is most likely that this was made for one such establishment in or around Sunderland where a branch of the Odd Fellows would have held their meetings.
