1995 Sterling Silver and Gemset Condiment Set

About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive, unusual contemporary Elizabeth II English sterling silver and gemset three-piece condiment set; part of our 1990s silver dining silverware. This exceptional contemporary sterling silver condiment set consists of a salt pot, a pepper pot and a mustard pot. Each component of this three-piece set has an unusual cylindrical, tiered hyperboloid shaped form. The pepper pot and salt pot are fitted with push fit hallmarked covers with corresponding pierced holes. This solid silver mustard pot has a hallmarked push fit plain domed cover surmounted with a spiralling finial accented with a collet set gem. Each piece is supported by three spiralling gem set wirework style legs; the terminal of the original hallmarked mustard spoon reflects this configuration. The interior of the mustard pot and surface of the mustard spoon bowl retains the original gilding. This exceptional condiment set has been crafted by the renowned silversmith Garrard & Co Ltd. Condition: The pieces of this contemporary silver condiment set with gems are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Each component has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks to the surface of each piece, in addition to part hallmarks covers are all very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of contemporary silverware.     An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver three piece condiment/cruet set - boxed; an addition to our dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian English sterling silver condiment set consists of a mustard pot and two condiment shakers. The shakers have a circular rounded form to a circular pedestal foot and the mustard pot has an oval form onto four bun style feet. The surface of each component is encircled with impressive pierced decoration, comprising interlacing arch and oval designs accented with circular motifs. The upper and lower portion of the mustard pot is further embellished with a gadroon decorated border, and the posterior surface bears a shaped sterling silver handle. The exceptional mustard pot is fitted with the original domed hinged cover, surmounted with baluster shaped finial. These condiment shakers each retain the original domed hallmarked push fit cover ornamented with pierced decoration.
