About the Item

The rare Chelsea or Chelsea Derby Porcelain plates are painted in the center with a floral bouquet panel surrounded by a mazarine-blue border and fine gilt highlights of dentil work, fish scales, and flower heads. The fish-scale gilding is as fine as any found on British porcelain. It is rare to find a grouping of plates together from this period.
