An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George VI English sterling silver bread dish in the Art Deco style; an addition to our range of ornamental silverware.
This exceptional antique George VI sterling silver bread dish has a rounded rectangular form onto a shaped pedestal foot, all in the Art Deco style.
The swept surface of this Art Deco piece is plain and unembellished.
The plateaued rim of this dish is ornamented with an engraved scalloped border.
The underside of the foot bears the retailer's mark 'Tarratt, Leicester'.
Condition
This antique dish is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. This sterling silver bread dish has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the anterior surface of the dish are all very clear; the maker's mark has some minor wear to the lower portion in keeping with location, but remains legible.

This exceptional antique George V sterling silver dish has a plain oval boat shaped form.
The body of this impressive English silver bread dish is embellished with bands of fine and impressive pierced vertical pale decoration, flanking oval floral medallions.
The ornamentation to the body incorporates bright cut engraved floral and foliate festoons, suspended from the aforementioned medallion designs.
The upper rim of the dish is encompassed with a paralleling applied thread decorated border.
The well of this fine example of antique silverware is plain and unembellished.
Either end of this antique dish features a cast sterling silver handpiece,

This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver spoon celebrating Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee has a plain oval form.
The anterior surface of the handle is embellished with a variety of commemorative subtly gilded scenes separated by scrolling ribbon ornamentation accented with the scene depicting wording 'Peace', 'Commerce', 'Electricity', 'Rifle Volunteers', 'Steam' and 'Penny Postage'.
The reverse surface is ornamented with the insignia of the Star of India including the motto 'Heavens Light Our Guard' above a further scrolling ribbon design incorporating the wording 'Indian Empire', 'Canada', 'Australasia' and 'Cape Colony' amidst undulating laurel branches.
The lower portion of the reverse of the handle includes part hallmarks beside the inscription 'In commemoration of the 60th year of the most glorious reign of H.I.M. Victoria Empress & Queen - 1837-1897 -'.
The shaped terminal of the handle is ornamented in the form of the Imperial State Crown to both the anterior surface and reverse.
The anterior surface of the bowl of this Diamond Jubilee commemorative spoon incorporates an impressive gilded scene depicting prestigious figures raising their crowns and surrounding the throne mounted Queen Victoria.
The reverse of the bowl is plain and unembellished, apart from the full hallmarks and registration number '288518' and features a leaf decorated heel.
