Antique Silver Plated Water or Lemonade Tipping Pot Set with Glass and Stand
About the Item
This antique silver plated tipping water or lemonade set was made by the Toronto Silver Plate Company in circa 1890 in the period Victorian style. This silver plated set consists of a large lined pot which sits securely on a silver plated stand and a silver plated goblet. The stand is quite ornate with a pierced handle at the top and large pierced scrolls on either side at the bottom and finished with nicely cast and plated feet. The pot has ornate decoration under the spout and a very large engraved panel on the front and a nicely shaped handle and pierced finial. The goblet is also ornately engraved around the sides and sits on a raised platform on the front of the stand. The stand is clearly hallmarked "Toronto Silver Plate Co." on the underside of the platform, and the goblet is hallmarked with a tankard.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Very old repair to the liner of the tipping pot and damage to the rim of the cup and the stand it sits on is slightly bent downward. Minor wear to the plated finish as presented in the photos and consistent with age and use.
