Fine Antique English 5 pc. Silver Plate & Cobalt Glass Decanter Set in Stand
About the Item
Gorgeous Quality Antique English Silver plate and cobalt glass Two Decanter Set with original stoppers and in their handsome original stand. Please note the stand has wonderful detail including a nautical rope border with a central leaf handle flanked by two slithering snakes or serpents. The decanters are of the Georgian style and the stand evidences maker's marks for the well-known firm of John Sherwood & Sons of Birmingham (UK). Both the stand and the decanters are in superb, age-appropriate condition (with the decanters showing little or no sign of wear). The stand has the slightest amount of plate loss where the decanters sit in the stand and only mentioned for accuracy.
