A fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver cream jug in the Art Nouveau style; an addition to our silver teaware collection.
This impressive George V antique sterling silver cream jug has a plain paneled helmet shaped form onto a knopped pedestal and spreading paneled foot.
The shaped rims of the body and foot of the jug are embellished with an applied scrolling borders, all in the Art Nouveau style.
This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an impressive Art Nouveau style bifurcating narrow loop handle ornamented with scrolling sockets and thumbpiece.
Condition
This antique Art Nouveau silver cream jug is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. The item has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The applied decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the jug are all very clear.

A fine and impressive pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver sparrow beak style creamers, boxed; an addition to our silver teaware collection.
These impressive antique Victorian sterling silver cream jugs have a plain baluster sparrow beak style form onto a circular spreading foot.
The body of each jug is embellished to one side with two impressive bright cut engraved crests, a stag's head erased and a thistle erect, leaved below the motto ‘Yvery’.
The jugs are fitted with opposing scroll handles, each ornamented with a subtle plain thumb piece.
These impressive antique cream jugs have sparrow beak style spouts.
These cream jugs are fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior and push fit catch.
The interior of the box bears the retailer’s mark ‘William Angus & Sons Silversmiths, 27 & 29 Lord Street, Liverpool’.
The collaboration of the thistle crest and the motto ‘Yvery’ may be associated with the motto ‘Sub cruce candida’, under the fair cross.

The body of this silver cream jug is embellished with flat chased simplified leaf designs incorporating scrolling borders and scale motif panels, in the Rococo style.
The decoration to the body incorporates an applied moulded border to the upper shaped rim and an impressive scrolling leaf design to the underside of the spout.
