Georgian Sterling Silver Cream Jug / Creamer

About the Item

A fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver helmet shaped creamer; an addition to our Georgian silver teaware collection. This fine antique George III sterling silver cream jug has a helmet shaped form onto a pedestal with a circular spreading foot and plain square base. The body of this antique cream jug is embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a dove, above the initials 'EMR'. The rim of the body and circular spreading foot are encompassed with applied reed decorated borders. This fine example of Georgian silverware is fitted with a narrow loop handle ornamented with plain applied moulded decoration. Condition: This antique cream jug is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the base are all very clear.
