George III Silver Beer or Water Jug
About the Item
In excellent and original condition, this is a Classic, heavy-gauge antique George III silver beer jug in a design that personifies the style of the period at the end of the 18th century. Of baluster form and with scroll and leaf mounts, the stepped spreading circular base has a slant gadroon border and the applied moulded rim mount extends around the open spout. Although heavy gauge, it is still comfortable to use with ease.
It weighs 26.5 troy oz (825g).
