A good antique American repoussé sterling silver gravy boat on stand, S. Kirk & Son Co., Baltimore, circa 1920.
A very fine antique sterling silver sauce/gravy boat on stand, the boat of ovoid form with a helmet shaped mouth and raised on an oval foot, finely decorated with bold floral repousse design and a cast high looping handle with floral relief design.
The boat stands on the original circular stand with corresponding decoration and raised on claw and ball feet, both the stand and sauce boat are fully marked to the underside. Each piece is in excellent condition, total silver weight is 391 grams, this very elegant gravy boat and stand are ready to grace your holiday dining table.
Sotheby's just sold this boat with a stand that did not have claw and ball feet for $1925.
