A fine antique Georgian sterling silver engraved sugar basket/bowl, London, circa 1790.
The sugar basket of helmet shape & fitted with a swing handle, the basket is rasied on a flared oval foot. The sugar basket is finely engraved with rope-twist decoration and a laurel wreath to each side. Silver weight is 154 grams, condition is good.
