Victorian Georgian sterling silver toast rack. Made by Charles Thomas Fox in London in 1838. Seven double hoop partitions; central partition has ring handle with scroll and shell mount. Rectangular frame with curved corners and central partition; 4 scroll and shell supports as well as central pole with ball terminal. A fully functional addition to the breakfast table as well as an example of stylistic continuity in the new reign. Fully marked. Overall dimensions: H 5 3/4 x W 6 1/4 x D 4 1/8 in. Weight: 10 troy ounces. #BV498.
