An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Victorian English sterling silver punch ladle; an addition to our silver flatware collection. This exceptional and rare antique Victorian cast sterling silver punch ladle has a plain circular bowl. The stem of this silver ladle is ornamented with twisted design, to a pillar style handpiece. The handle is further embellished with an impressive terminal modelled in the form of a male figural bust. This exceptional antique sterling silver punch ladle has been crafted by the renowned flatware maker Christian John Reid of Reid & Sons. Such examples crafted in Newcastle sterling silver are extremely rare; this exceptional ladle is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire. Condition This antique toddy/punch ladle is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and is in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of the stem are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of silver flatware. A magnificent, fine and impressive, rare antique Scottish sterling silver gilt punch/ soup ladle; an addition to our silver cutlery collection This magnificent William IV sterling silver punch ladle has been hand forged in a rare and unusual design. The handle of the punch/soup ladle has been realistically modelled in the form of a horse's head, emanating from an impressive scrolling enveloping leaf design. The tapering stem is embellished with the contemporary engraved presentation inscription 'Presented to A. C. Renton by his father on his birth day, 3rd May 1833'. The reverse of this impressive example of antique silverware features an exceptional honeysuckle style heel to the shell shaped bowl.
