ART-NOUVEAU 1890 Vesta Matches Box With Floriated Repousse In .925 Sterling

An antique vesta box with art-nouveau motifs. This is an amazing and rare vesta matches box, created in America with Art-Nouveau motifs, back in the 1890-95. The vesta box has been crafted in solid sterling silver with embossed and repoussé designs of floriated and women torso patterns. The craftsmanship and condition is exceptional with little trace of wear, very sharp and crisp with beautiful, aged patina. Fitted with a tree-barrels hinge and a snap closure system. Period: Art-Nouveau, 1890-1895. Motif: Flowers, beauty and organic. Materials: .925 sterling silver. Weight: 25.5 Grams, (16.35 Dwt). Measurements: 68 mm by 43 mm by 13 mm (2.68 x 1.42 x 0.51 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark and the mark for the assay of the silver as follows: "STERLING". Collateral: This Art-nouveau Vesta box is accompanied by a presentation jewelry pouch. Condition: The overall condition of this Art-nouveau Vesta matches box is excellent. Besides the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver and all parts are secured in their settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity. Pair of shakers designed by Schofield. Beautiful pair of salt and pepper shakers, created in Baltimore by The Schofield Company, back in the 1905. This pair is from the iconic pattern named Baltimore Rose and was carefully crafted in the art nouveau style with a repousse of floral motifs in solid .925/.999 sterling silver. Pear shaped and mounted in three sabots and fitted with removable lids on top. Weight: 155.45 Grams, (99.64 Dwt). Measures: 51 mm by 115 mm (2.01 x 4.53 Inches).
