Early XX century Art Nouveau Russian Silver box with fine floral hand-engraved decor and two-letters monogram on the lid. Rectangular form with rounded corners, hallmarked with Russian 84 zolotniks silver mark, maker marks BA / Василий Агафонов / Vasiliy Agofonov, Moscow. Assayer Ivan Lebedkin, Moscow 1899 - 1914. The box is 7.3 cm x 5.8 cm x 1.9 cm thick. Weight: 78 grams Used condition, minor dents, and scratches, likely professional and perfect repair on the tongue of the lock. The box gets closed tightly with a click and opens smoothly if the button is pressed. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. Unfortunately Internet sales do not allow us to see the items in person before we get them by post.
