Boxed Pair of Antique English Sterling Silver Pepper Pots, 1894

About the Item

A stunning pair of Victorian cased pepperettes presented in magnificent condition having been through our silversmith's workshop where any dings and dents have been removed then professionally cleaned and polished. Each footed pepper pot has all round repousse or embossed decoration in panels and each with a vacant rectangular cartouche to the front. Unusually one is struck with the Chester assay office mark and the other with the Birmingham mark, both date to 1894 and both having the initials for the silversmith's, Cohen & Charles. They come complete with their original presentation case (wear commensurate with age). Each measures 1 3/8" in diameter x 2 1/2" tall to top of finial. The box measures 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" tall.
