Dominick & Haff Sterling Silver Galleried Mahogany Wood 24" Tray w/Etched Glass
About the Item
Here is a lovely and elegant oval tray with a sterling silver gallery which is signed with the Dominick & Haff symbol, sterling, 1454 (the identifying number) and 24 inches which is the width of the gallery (the tray , including the handles is about an inch wider.) Dominick and Haff started in New York in 1872 and closed in 1928.
The gallery is a classy repeating pattern of oval and diamond shapes which is about half an inch high. The lovely Mahogany grained tray is covered with clear glass that is delicately etched with grape, vine and flower patterns centered with an radiating star design. The tray is in good condition with light scratching on the bottom , a slight crack on one side and other light signs of use.
I have not polished the silver but it will polish easily and if you contact me before I send it, I will be happy to do that for you.
