About the Item

A massive Antique Victorian Silver Charger of impressive proportions in an ornate Historismus / Renaissance inspired style. The Borders of this large Salver are embellished with detailed designs including classical faces of Bacchanalian origin surrounded by scroll work and stylised floral and foliate designs. Further imagery shows Griffin Heads, Cherub Heads and Urns. The centre of the Victorian Bowl has a convex polished silver centre. A magnificent piece suitable for display, for use or for presentation. Made in Glasgow, Scotland in 1898 by George Edward & Sons (David & George Edward). Approx. Weight - 3580g / 115.1oz Approx. Diameter - 56cm Approx. Height to Rim - 5cm This Victorian Silver Charger has Full Scottish Hallmarks. This Scottish Charger is in excellent condition with no damage. STOCK CODE - BOW01MS VIC01 TRO01
