About the Item

A very fine pair of George IV shaped circular salver, waiters with a cast gallery, Standing on three openwork, foliate feet, the centre engraved bearing the coat-of-arms of Lady Maria Egerton of Alton. within a cast and applied gallery with an openwork border decorated with leaves and flowers. Hallmarked to the reverse tor London 1826 and the makers mark of IH. These salvers is are excellent condition, of very thick gauge with no repairs, splits or erasures. Stands true on a flat surface and has a wonderful patina. Measures: Diameter:( 17cm) or 6.8 inches Height: (3.5cm) or 1.3 inches. Weight: 755g, 24.27 Troy Ounces .

Two Large Antique French 950 Solid Silver Louis XVI Serving Platters For sale are two superb matching high quality Antique Oblong 950 Sterling Silver Serving Platters by one of the World's most Prestigious French Silversmiths Emile Puiforcat. They really are extremely decadent and very large silver trays. They are very presentable in near mint Condition having just been professionally cleaned and polished by expert silversmiths, These Include Two original signed "Puiforcat Paris" Anti-Tarnish Storage Covers for protection while put away in Storage. They where made Circa 1890s, possibly. Privately Commissioned by wealthy French gentry some time in the Louis XVI period. They are stamped with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 hallmark certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver. The renowned firm of Puiforcat was founded in 1820 by Émile Puiforcat who worked predominantly as a cutler with his brother Pierre-Joseph-Marie Puiforcat and their maternal cousin Jean-Baptiste Fuchs at rue Chapon in the Marais district of Paris. Each of these Amazing Pieces have been Hand Crafted to the Highest of Standards, Puiforcat has Been the Standard Bearer for Sterling Silver Quality and Craftsmanship for Generations, The First Serving Platter is huge and Measures Approximately 25.6 Inches (65 cm) in Length by 12.2 Inches (31 cm).
