Stunning art nouveau large silver flower bowl / jardiniere with original glass liner Hallmarked (Austrian - most probably viennese - silver) manufactured before 1911 It is an outstanding large silver flower bowl (jardinière) with most elegant original glass liner. Referring to style, this flower bowl was made during Art Nouveau Period. Stylized decorations of floral type (=leaves) cover bowl's hoisted handles / additionally, smooth surface is accentuated by straight reticulated patterns. Edged areas of silver bowl are scalloped / each side of silver bowl has lockets with inscriptions which are most probably dedications: '20.VII.1911 & Emlek Lajostol' . - The scalloped oblong glass liner is decorated with a cut star pattern at bottom. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ MADE BEFORE 1911 SILVER 800 branded by AUSTRIAN OFFICIAL SILVER MARK (used as from year 1867 until 1922): DIANA'S HEAD MARK master’s mark existing - characters EB (?) are legible _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ MEASURES: LENGTH: 18.50 inches (= 47.0 cm) / HANDLES INCLUDED DEPTH: 7.48 inches (= 19.0 cm) HEIGHT: 7.28 inches (= 18.5 cm) / HANDLES INCLUDED SILVER WEIGHT: 500 GRAMS / 17.6 OZ (UK) / 16.07 TROY OUNCES CONDITION: EXCELLENT (there aren't any damages existing)
