This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a cylindrical form with a plain circular spreading foot.
The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced decorated conjoined scrolling designs, accented with four chased decorated masks anchoring pensile drop fruiting arrangements.
The upper and lower rims of this mustard pot are ornamented with applied, moulded thread decorated borders.
This fine Victorian silver mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged cover surmounted with an impressive cast silver finial and leaf decorated thumbpiece.
The surface of the cover is encircled with further chased decorated fruiting arrangements on a matte background, and incorporates a scroll bordered vacant shaped cartouche to either side.
This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an impressive cast opposing scrolling handle.
The mustard pot is fitted with the original removable clear frosted glass liner.
The cover retains the original gilding to the interior.
