Viennese Art Nouveau Silver Centerpiece With Original Glass Bowl, Around 1900
About the Item
Elegant silver centerpiece on a round, multi-stepped curved base with four square rocaille feet with putti heads in relief, finely chased shell and floral decoration, baluster-shaped shaft with chased trim and leaf festoons, on the sides, opposite each other, two towering volute brackets with busts of women, screwed onto the top a widely projecting bowl made of original clear glass with finely cut feather leaf tendrils and flowers on the sloping plate rim and elegant spade decoration in the mirror.
