Antique French silver cruet made in France - Strasbourg 1750 - 1796
About the Item
Solid silver oil cruet, produced in France in Strasbourg between 1750 and 1796 as evidenced by the state marks.
The shape is a boat, where 4 feet made with the casting technique have been skipped, to raise it from the support surface.
Inside, a grid has been placed with the seat for two ampoules and their respective caps.
The round seat for the oil ampoule is with a design of olives and olive leaves, while the seat for the vinegar is with a design of bunches of grapes and vine leaves.
The two hand-cut crystal ampoules are the originals of the time.
Oil cruet in excellent condition, suitable for being placed on an elegant and important table.
