Rare Antique British Boxed Set Four Gilded Metal Floral Salts & Spoons
About the Item
A very rare and unusual British cased set four gilded metal salts and spoons formed as flowerheads dated 1870. The decorative salts are formed as flower heads supported on a three leaf base and are presented in a fitted leather cover case with a fitted velvet and silk lining. The salts come complete with four gilded metal matching spoons with scallop molded bowls. Two of the salts have impressed Victorian diamond registration marks dating the set to 4th February 1870.
The set is offered in good condition with one of the salts with scratch metal test mark to the base. All have light wear associated with age and use.
