About the Item

An antique Georgian George III solid Silver Sugar and Cream Set comprising of a Sugar Basket and a Cream Basket. This pair of Baskets is matched in design with the sugar basket being slightly larger than the cream basket. The oval Baskets stand on rectangular bases and the exterior of each is decorated with delicate engraved designs including blank oval cartouches and floral swag patterns. The interiors of the baskets are lightly gilded. Made in London in 1786 By Benjamin Montigue. Approx. Total Weight - 550g Approx. Length Sugar -18.4cm Approx.
