Glazed in grey with abstract and geometric decoration engraved and over-glazed in orange and black. Ceramics with shapes and patterns characteristic of the work of Denis & Peter Orlando. American-born Peter Orlando (1953-2009) married a Parisian woman he met in France while serving as a soldier in World War II. They will work together on ceramics. Trained at the Beaux-Arts in Paris and at the Sèvres workshops, he opened his own studio in Paris, where he produced ceramics from 1952 to 1968, before devoting himself exclusively to painting.
