About the Item
A beautiful set of six (6) Scandinavian Danish Copenhagen Porcelain coffee espresso or tea demitasse cups and saucers with bird design, by Bing & Grondahl, circa early to mid-20th century, Denmark. Set showcases the company's signature design, the Seagull, which was created in 1892 by designer Fanny Garde (1855-1925.) The modest, classic design features flying seagulls against pale blue backgrounds, sea horse handles and shaded patterns of scales around the edges, finished with gold detail. All pieces are marked on bottom as shown in last image.
