Victorian Sterling Silver Teapot with Wooden Handle
About the Item
Victorian sterling silver teapot with wooden handle.
A very stylish and handsome Antique Victorian Sterling Silver teapot, having a very plain round straight-sided body, a straight tapering spout, a wooden scroll handle.
The body is round with scrollwork engraving on the bottom and top,
A crest with motto and lion has been engraved in the center.
A frame engraved with the same motifs as the body has been made on the top of the teapot, while the lid is plain.
The handle of the teapot is wooden, as is the knob of the lid.
This antique silver teapot was made by Samuel Whitford of London in 1859
